The First Plenary Meeting of The Fourth Session of Industry Self-Discipline Working Committee of ISC Held in Beijing

On October 26, the first plenary meeting of the fourth Session of Internet Society of China Industry Self-discipline Working Committee was held online in Beijing. Representatives from 40 member companies including Alibaba, Tencent, JD.com and Baidu attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Song Mao’en, Deputy Secretary-General of Internet Society of China.


The meeting reviewed and approved the Working Rules of the Internet Society of China Industry Self-discipline Committee (Revised Draft) and the Election Method of the Leading Body of the Fourth Session of the Internet Society of China Industry Self-discipline Committee, and elected a new leading body of the Committee. He Guili, Vice President and Deputy Secretary-General of Internet Society of China, was elected chairman of the fourth Working Committee, while Cao Wei, Director of Membership Department, was elected Secretary-General of the fourth working Committee.


Cao Wei reported the work and achievements of the third session of Working Committee and proposed a work plan for the newly fourth session of working Committee. He said, under the guidance of relevant government departments and under the leadership of the Internet Society of China, the working committee will actively advocate the Internet industry self-discipline, conscientiously implement the national series on the Internet development and management decision-making and deployment, and actively promote the sustained and healthy development of China’s Internet industry.


In his concluding remark, He Guili expressed his affirmation and gratitude to the working committee for the hard work and achievements made in the past five years. He said that during his performance as the Director of the working committee, he will work with all member units to fulfill the responsibilities and share the vision. The working committe will set sample and will gather consensus, encourage development and innovationion, and promote the stability and long-term development of Internet enterprises with industry self-discipline, promote the healthy and sustainable development of the Internet industry, and contribute to promoting the high-quality development of China’s Internet.
