The First "Capital Digital Rule of Law Forum" held in Beijing

In response to the development trend of digital economy and to strengthen the construction of digital rule of law, the first "Capital Digital Rule of Law Forum" was held on April 24 in Beijing. The Forum was jointly organized by the Internet Society of China (ISC), the Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office (BMIPO) and the North China University of Technology (NCUT).

At the opening ceremony, Ms. Pei Wei, Deputy Secretary General of ISC, reviewed the 30-year development history of the Internet in China, and said that ISC will actively play the role of a bridge to promote digitization, networking, and intelligent to empower thousands of industries.

Mr. Pan Xinsheng, Deputy-director of BMIPO, emphasized the importance of the digital rule of law system for the sustained and healthy development of the digital economy, and put forward several suggestions to strengthen the construction of digital rule of law. 

Prof. Wang Li, Vice President of NCUT, said that NCUT has always been committed to serving the capital city and the development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and hoped that this forum would bring new ideas and thoughts to the construction of digital rule of law in the capital city. 

During the forum, an award ceremony for the essay writing activity "Data Intellectual Property Protection and Judicial adjudication Rules" was also held to commend the outstanding research results.

At the forum, participants held in-depth discussions on topics such as the protection of enterprise data property rights, the practice of judicial protection of data rights and interests, and the theoretical disputes and practical exploration of data intellectual property rights, etc. The successful organization of the forum provided a platform for the exchange and interaction among the legal theoretical community, the judiciary, and the industrial sector, and is of great significance for the promotion of the construction of the digital rule of law. 

The forum attracted more than 300 participants from government, academia, legal practice and the industry community.
