The 2024 Internet Public Welfare Theme Forum held in Beijing

On May 25th, Internet Society of China (ISC) held a forum on the theme of "Digital Empowerment for Public Welfare, you and I hand in hand" on the e-Charity Day 2024 in Beijing. The event not only commemorated the 23rd anniversary of the founding of the Internet Society of China, but also demonstrated the positive contribution of the Internet industry in public welfare.
At the forum, Mr. Huang Chengqing, Vice President of the ISC, emphasized that digital technology has laid a solid foundation for the development of public welfare, and pointed out that Internet enterprises should play a platform advantage, deepen the integration of digital technology and public welfare, protect user privacy, and jointly build an Internet public welfare ecology.
Mr. Li Qiang, Chief Expert of the Information Center for Elderly Talents of the China National Committee on Aging, introduced how to help the elderly cross the digital divide through intelligent actions.
Mr. Dai Wei, Deputy Secretary General of ISC, released the "E-Start Public Welfare" program, which aims to promote the development of Internet public welfare through digital technology and recruit public welfare partners across the country. The first activity of the program is "2024 Internet Public Welfare Case Collection", which aims to widely spread the positive energy of Internet public welfare.
Representatives from Kuaishou, Tencent, Waterdrop, Jinqi (Beijing) Technology Group and other enterprises shared their practices and thoughts in public welfare, including short video live broadcasting to empower the elderly industry, how technology empowers the information accessibility building, the construction of medical security system through technological innovation, and technology to help a better life for the disabled, and many other aspects.
The forum not only demonstrated the responsibility and commitment of the Internet industry in public welfare, but also injected new impetus to promote the high-quality development of Internet public welfare.
