Blue Ocean Salon|Issue 275: Seminar on “Data Security Governance and Development in the Age of AI” held in Beijing

On June 7, the Internet Society of China held a seminar on “Data Security Governance and Development in the Age of AI”, which brought together experts from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Jiaotong University, China Electronics Standardization Institute, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology(CAICR), Qianxin Group, Alibaba Group, Shell Group and other organizations.
The meeting was hosted by Pei Wei, Deputy Secretary General of Internet Society of China, and mainly discussed the new situation, challenges and response strategies of data security in the AI era.
Experts pointed out that data, as a new type of production factor, faced security risks such as copying and leakage while promoting social and economic development. The meeting emphasized the need for more targeted technology, mechanism and rule design to address data security risks in AI scenarios.
The experts also put forward suggestions and outlooks on the development of the data security industry, the improvement of the regulatory framework, technology research and product development, and the construction of the industrial ecology, aiming to promote the healthy and sustainable development of China's AI industry.
