On June 7, “Digital Overseas to Malaysia” seminar was held online, hosted by Internet Society of China(ISC)and co-sponsored by APEC SMEs Informatization Promotion Center.
Mr. Dai Wei, Deputy Secretary-general of ISC, said in his speech that the “Digital Overseas” activity aims to promote exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign Internet industries, It is planned to organize a business trip to Malaysia at the end of July to explore development opportunities in various fields such as artificial intelligence, digital finance, digital healthcare, digital tourism, etc., so as to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in the digital field and deepen the construction of “Belt and Road”.
Ms. Zhang Chuchen, Deputy Director of the Beijing Office of the Malaysian Investment and Development Authority (MIDA), and Mr. Gordon Loke, Senior Executive Officer of the Foreign Investment Business of the Digital Investment Department of the "Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), gave a detailed introduction of the Malaysian investment environment and strategy in the digital field, and a series of incentives and preferential policies for the landing of digital technology enterprises at the meeting.
In the interactive exchange session, Mr. Wu Weijun, Senior Manager of Business Development at Alibaba Lazada Malaysia, Mr. Jeffrey Zhang, Senior Manager of Sangfor Technologies Inc. in Malaysia and other representatives of Chinese enterprises shared their development experience in Malaysia. Nearly 100 representatives from member units and industry attended the meeting.
“Digital Overseas” is an international cooperation brand event hosted by the Internet Society of China. It aims to establish a communication and cooperation platform between the Chinese and foreign internet industries. The initiative includes organizing international exchange seminars, forming delegations to participate in major international exhibitions, conducting foreign-related training, and facilitating exchanges for companies going global. Its goal is to assist internet enterprises in expanding overseas markets and promote international communication and cooperation in the digital field.
